Summer Day Wardrobe: June 27
Working Wardrobe has officially been put on hold until the fall thanks to the rigid uniform of Starbucks. Seriously, would you want to see this each week?
For now, I'm transforming the series into outfits from my summer days that I have off! It's been crazy these past few weeks with working so many days, but I wanted to show you what I've been up to this summer!
For one, I've started working on calligraphy! I was inspired by the work of Lauren Saylor from A Fabulous Fete blog. Her style is so beautiful and upbeat. I just had to try my own hand at it! Below are a few signs that I've worked on for the bar at my wedding next year! Not too shabby! I can't wait to get more colors of the Copic marker I've been using!
Today I spent my day off practicing my calligraphy and working with Hotel Phillips to block off rooms for the my wedding! Due to the rigidity of the uniform at Starbucks, I have found myself on days off reaching for bright colors, skirts, and dresses. Today, I just was drawn to my old sequin miniskirt and decided to pair it with my blue and white striped boat neck shirt. Then of course I had to add my new suede heels from J.Crew! I'm just in love with them! Here's how it turned out!
I hope you are having a great Friday! If you are looking for any fun events to enjoy in KC, check out Shakespeare in the Park, the glass labyrinth at the Nelson Atkins Museum, or The Great Lenexa BBQ Battle! All entertaining local weekend possibilities!
