As we begin to transition into fall a trend that has recovered its popularity is animal print. It's a great look for the fall due to its autumnal colors and it instantly glamorizes your outfit. Leopard print is the most popular and easily wearable print. Other prints are harder to wear and are sometimes better left to small key pieces like shoes, bracelets, or a purse. I especially love zebra print belts and faux snake skin clutches. The way to best wear leopard print is to choose one piece to wear that is in this print, such as a dress, shirt, purse, or skirt. The fun thing about leopard print is that it it comes in a variety of shades from caramel brown to grey, can dress up any outfit, and is appropriate for many occasions.
I love to wear my leopard print pencil skirt with a black ruffle tank out to drinks. At work I will occasionally wear my leopard print dress with my chartreuse cardigan and skinny white belt. On Friday night I wore a pair of skinny purple jeans, a black shirt, and leopard print scarf; I really liked this outfit because it easily transitioned from work to dinner out at a trendy restaurant (Z Bar - it's pretty awesome!!).
What are your favorite animal print pieces and do you have any rules for wearing them?
