Thanksgiving: Recipe Inspiration

Image via Living Well Spending Less

Thanksgiving is a week and a half away, so I wanted to help you get prepared with some delicious food inspiration! Whether you are hosting Thanksgiving for the first time or headed to your family Thanksgiving or even just trying to figure out what to bring to that office Thanksgiving food party, you are in the right spot. I've researched some of the best and most unique dishes for your Thanksgiving party! Next week, I'll be sharing the best holiday cocktails and drinks to kick the party up a notch!

This Sweet and Savory Baked Brie from Dash of Savory looks incredible. I'm already planning on making this for a dinner party with friends this next week! I'll be substituting the pomegranate for raspberry preserves. For the recipe, go here!

You can utilize those seasonal acorn squashes so well at Thanksgiving. I love these Quinoa Stuffed Acorn Squash from Camille Styles. They are so easy and are the perfect baking vessel so that cleaning is a snap. Get the recipe here.

One of my favorite dishes at Thanksgiving is stuffing. It's just such a seasonal item that I can only make around the holidays, so it feels so special. Martha Stewart's Sausage Pear Stuffing combines that pear sweetness with the salty and savory sausage in a delectable way. Check out her recipe here!

Have you heard that hand pies are the new thing? Yep, they are definitely on the cusp of taking over the cupcake and cake pop domination. Why? Well they are super easy and convenient. You can just pick them up and eat them and they also can be made in a variety of flavors! Whether cheesy, filled with meat, filled with cinnamon baked pears, you can't go wrong. For those with vegetarian friends out there, try this recipe from Martha Stewart for Roasted Cauliflower and Manchego Hand Pies. I seriously can't wait to try it out!

Oh you're not convinced you say? Well go ahead and try this recipe for Apple Rosemary Hand Pies from Design Love Fest. Recipe here.

Not sure what to do with all of those leftovers after Thanksgiving? Try a hand at these Turkey, Cranberry, and Fontina Paninis from Food Network! The super simple recipe is found here.

Good luck with your menu! If you are taking on hosting Thanksgiving for the first time, here's a handy planning guide from Pop Sugar! It will keep you organized and reduce the stress of the holiday dinner!
