Kansas City Engagement Photo Session

I have been so excited to share this photo shoot with you! This last Sunday my fiancé and I celebrated our engagement with a fun photo session with the talented photographer, Lacey Meier! Mikael and I knew we wanted to go to places in downtown Kansas City that represented significant locations in our relationship. So we initially headed to River Market Antiques on 5th street, a store we often visit on lazy Saturdays after visiting the farmer's market. We love perusing the vintage goods and commenting about pieces we can't buy.

Next, we headed to the rooftop of Mikael's building. This place is so special to us. It's where we had our first kiss and where we are going to say "I do!" one year from today! The funny thing was that the rooftop was under construction for some repairs, so Lacey was good enough to work around the equipment!

Finally, we drove over to Loose Park, just south of the Plaza. The park is massive and has a fun combination of beautiful meadows, tall trees, and gorgeous rose gardens. Mikael and I have loved visiting this park on those days when you just can't stay inside!

It was just so special to incorporate these special places into our photographs and we had the best time running around the city with our friend Lacey! For more pictures and details of our amazing photographer, visit Lacey's blog at LovePlusLacey!
