Style Icon: Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Friday, February 17th, was the 31st birthday of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the beloved indie genre actor who melted hearts in 500 Days of Summer and made us all cry in 50/50. Whenever I see his cool, sophisticated, and slightly quirky style, I always wonder why men just can't dress like him. He often looks like he has just walked out of a J.Crew magazine (go figure I would like that!). As I was looking up a little more information about him I found out that he had a minor role in Beethoven and is set to write, direct, and star in his next film. How cool is he?!

Here are a few items that you likely would find in JGL's closet:
pocket squares - the new trend for men's spring fashion
nautical striped shirt
ankle hiking boots
several formal vests - pair one with jeans to emulate his style!
knit tie - the new skinny tie
converse shoes
chambray working shirt
plenty of blazers
fun, but simple graphic t's - ones with brand names on them are no-no's
rayban sunglasses
classic flat front pants - throw away any of yours that have pleats

Men, try out a few of these items and work on incorporating them in your everyday style. Women will definitely appreciate it!
