Wichita's Chic Boutiques: Part 1

Wichita transformed from an old cow town to a thriving city renown for its aircraft production and safety. Although traces of its heritage can be found in historic ‘cow town’ and cowboy boot shops, Wichita is also home to many small and locally run boutiques. Since I am home for the summer, I decided to do a multi-part series covering these fashion-forward shops throughout the city.

The first store I covered is Frou Frou, an adorable and chic boutique located in the Tallgrass Shopping Center. This store opened seven years ago and is run by Betsy Morrison and Barbara Royse. It specializes in accessories, home décor, gifts, and clothing. Barbara commented that they were inspired by women’s need for accessories and Betsy’s eye for detail. The shop is creatively laid out, incorporating key home pieces with jewelry, shoes, and clothing. They are also a retailer for Vera Bradley items, Sofft shoes (my favorite!), and other fine brands. Frou Frou is definitely a boutique worth checking out here in Wichita if you are in town to visit or to stay!

Love the white furniture!

These little jeweled globes really caught my eye!

Brilliant. They used unique drawer pulls to display necklaces.

The cutest bow bracelet; part of their Fourth of July display.

Love these turquoise and bronze gladiator sandals!
