Working Wardrobe: April 9

Happy Thursday everyone! So glad to be back with you my dear friends. It's been a great week for Royals fans, but not for those who rooted on the Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA Championship. (Still heartbroken about that!) This week, although short, has felt long, especially after a little stomach bug that's been chasing me for the past few days. Today, I felt like wearing one of my vintage skirts that I picked up ages ago from a consignment shop. It's a silk skirt with this perfect preppy pattern on it and goes fabulously with button-downs shirts. Plus the pleats make it a fun skirt for twirling! I was at the UMKC Women of Color conference with my students today and wanted to dress it up a bit. So I paired it with a crisp black button-down shirt and heels. It fit well and helped me look like a chaperone, rather than a student!

Tonight I'm headed to PoshKC Blow Dry Bar's Preview Party, so follow along with my updates as I share them on Instagram!

Have a great rest of your week and I'll see you Sunday.

  1. Love this look for work! The belt adds a nice polished touch to the outfit.
