Another week, another snow day! It's hard to imagine that we've only had two full weeks of school this semester and spring break is only two weeks away now. Time certainly is flying this year. I remember reading a study about how our perception of time changes with age. The researchers showed that as children and teenagers we feel time is moving slower than it actually is. In our twenties we reach equilibrium and feel time accurately. Thirties and onward, we perceive time as speeding up, making days and weeks fly by. (Read more here.) I am definitely feeling time speeding up this year!
One last cold week before spring (fingers crossed!) so corduroys were a must. I wore my favorite golden hued pair, added a polka dot chambray shirt, and my navy striped sweater. The mixing of prints worked well as the blues meshed and thus worked together, instead of competing with one another. Of course, I threw on my combat boots and put in a pair of gold feather earrings before heading out the door! This weekend I got a new pair of glasses from Zenni Optical and loved wearing those today with my outfit! The cat eye style is just adorable and makes me feel so geek chic! Overall, the look was comfortable and made a real fashion statement!
