I am so excited to announce a brand new series for History & High Heels: Working Wardrobe! It's a fun new way to show you what I'm wearing during the week as I am teaching, because I think it is so easy to get stuck in a wardrobe rut at work. It's going to definitely be a challenge to stay accountable and make sure my outfits reflect my personal style, but it will be so much fun! If you have a stellar work outfit, show it off by sharing it on Instagram and tagging me @historyandhighheels or by posting in the comments! I'll post my favorites throughout the series!
This week, the challenge was to look professional, while keeping warm and wearing an appropriate outfit for the upcoming snow storm! The classroom I am is incredibly cold and I have to make sure that my outfit will keep me from shivering throughout the day. So here's my outfit from Monday! Although it was daring to wear leggings to work, I wore two pairs and one of them was my fleece-lined leggings! So I stayed nice and warm! Choosing the appropriateness of leggings at work, depends on the environment. I definitely didn't wear them the first few weeks of student teaching until I was able to get a sense of the workplace style and guidelines. It was only then that I made the decision to wear them!

In the after Christmas sale at Banana Republic I picked up this faux fur scarf and it feels so fabulous. I sometimes feel a bit ridiculous wearing it, but it's just so fun that I couldn't resist picking it up! But wearing it sometimes makes me feel like Macklemore or the referee at the Super Bowl!
And here's the final look! Layers upon layers of clothing to keep warm!
