Today is the anniversary of the first modern report of the Loch Ness Monster, announced in the Inverness Courier on May 2, 1933 (love this picture above). Nessie has been causing quite a mess since then, inciting amateur hunters to patrol the waters in search of the mythical beast. The Daily Mail from London even sent a famous huntsman, Marmaduke Wetherell, to find the monster and he came back to report the finding of footprints (although these were revealed to have been made by a stuffed hippopotamus's foot). Accounts of Nessie date back 1,500 years, but with modern technology scientists have taken steps forward of cracking the Loch Ness myth.
So, in honor of messy Nessie, this post is on the messy style, i.e. bohemian, hippie, etc. The way I would wear this outfit below, is with the vest open, the dress pulled loose, and the belt cinched at the waist. The earrings here are great, but I might switch them out for some antique jewelry. A bright pink lipgloss will add the finishing touch, adding a punch of color to the neutral outfit. Also, I think the hippie headband is awesome, but I have yet to be able to pull it off. Somehow it always makes my hair look funny. If you have any suggestions about this, let me know!
