Working Wardrobe: April 9

This week has been one heck of a week. I am so thrilled that I was offered a social studies teaching position at St. Teresa's Academy for this next fall! It's hard to believe that I was so lucky to find a job so early and honestly I am breathing a sigh of relief to have this sorted. St. Teresa's is a wonderful college prep academy for young women located just south of the Country Club Plaza here in Kansas City. The school focuses on producing women of character who take on leadership roles in school and their community. It will be a wonderful school to work for and I am so looking forward to starting there!

This week's Working Wardrobe is on my outfit from yesterday. I decided to take a page from my own book on combining graphic t-shirts and pencil skirts. My new favorite t-shirt is the Heart KC shirt from Charlie Hustle Shop and I decided to pair it with my kelly green pencil skirt. I almost went with my grey tweed pencil skirt, but it felt just a little too greyscale. The brightness of the green skirt worked well with the more muted graphic shirt. I added a statement necklace for an addition of femininity and elegance. I slipped on my red pointy flats before heading out the door to continue that fun burst of color!
