Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful weekend here in Kansas City celebrating Mother's Day with my parents and Mikael. On Friday night we practically inhaled the perfectly spiced Indian food at Korma Sutra in Westport. Saturday after a run, a boys visit to Bass Pro Shop (in preparation for our hike of the Grand Canyon), we walked around the downtown River Market area stopping in at Quay Coffee and dinner at a delightful family-run Syrian restaurant Habashi House. Later, we caught The Great Gatsby at the Alamo Drafthouse downtown, which was incredible! For our final few hours, we drove over to Westside and ate brunch at Chez Elle, the wonderful French Creperie, and walked around the neighborhood. Despite all of the activities, it was a relaxing and fulfilling 48 hours!
